Social Tourism Greece 2026-27: DYPA Rules and Dates

Published: Last checked: Χωρίς κατηγορία

The 2026-2027 Social Tourism programme of DYPA (the national employment agency) has already closed for applications. If you were selected, your voucher is valid from 23 May 2026 to 22 June 2027. Applications were made online on gov.gr between 21 and 26 April 2026, and the final tables of beneficiaries were published on 22 May 2026. This page explains how the programme works, what beneficiaries do with the voucher, and what to prepare for the next round.

What the programme is

Social Tourism (Κοινωνικός Τουρισμός) subsidises holidays in Greece for eligible employees, some insured workers and registered unemployed people. DYPA’s announcement for this year covers 300,000 vouchers with a budget of 50 million euros. It is not a benefit paid in cash. The voucher pays part of an overnight stay or a ferry ticket.

Who could apply in 2026-2027

  • Employees with a private-law dependent employment contract.
  • Insured persons whose dependent work carried DYPA unemployment contributions at some point in the 12 months before the deadline.
  • Unemployed people registered in DYPA’s digital job-seeker register, with at least 3 continuous months of unemployment on the deadline date.

Income limits this year: up to 16,000 euros for a single person, up to 24,000 euros for a married person plus 5,000 euros per child, and up to 29,000 euros for a single parent plus 5,000 euros for each child after the first. DYPA ranks applicants by points (disability, single parenthood, children, income, first participation, and not having taken part in the two previous programmes). These conditions can change every year.

How it worked this year

  1. Application on gov.gr, on a day set by the last digit of your tax number (ΑΦΜ), from Tuesday 21 April to Saturday 25 April 2026, with Sunday 26 April open for all.
  2. Provisional tables, then objections (electronic only) from 16 to 18 May 2026.
  3. Final tables on 22 May 2026. The programme runs for 13 months.

No supporting documents were required, except for the large-family (πολύτεκνοι) category.

Using the voucher

Accommodation. You choose a hotel or room from DYPA’s Provider Registry and arrange the stay with the provider. Standard accommodation allows up to 6 nights with a small private contribution. For some islands and regions DYPA allows more nights. Subsidy rates are 20% higher in August, from 15 December 2026 to 14 January 2027, and from 23 April to 9 May 2027.

Ferry tickets. The private contribution is 25%, and the ticket is free of charge for people with disabilities. For ferry tickets the voucher must be printed from DYPA’s e-services and shown at a travel agency, a ticket agency or a ticket office of the ferry operator, where you ask for a Social Tourism ticket. For accommodation, DYPA’s programme page says the provider checks the voucher electronically. If a provider asks for something different, ask DYPA before you pay anything.

Preparing for the next programme

Each programme has its own rules and dates, and last year’s conditions do not carry over automatically. We found no announcement for the next period on 8 October 2026. DYPA publishes it on dypa.gov.gr. A few things are worth having in order: your tax number and AMKA, the details of your family members, and access to gov.gr with your Taxisnet codes.

What we do and do not do

In our Corfu office we can help you print the voucher, compare providers in the registry, and prepare for the next application. We cannot tell you whether you are on the list. That is checked on dypa.gov.gr, and DYPA decides who qualifies and with how many points.

We never store clients’ passwords. By default we guide you to sign in yourself, remotely or at our office on your own phone. Only when it is really needed do we log in on a secured office computer, in a clean private (incognito) session, with you present. Never send codes or confirmation numbers to anyone by email, chat or phone.
